Apprentice stylists

We are delighted to introduce four new apprentice stylists to Brooks Hair & Beauty. Here’s the low-down and why not say hello when you’re next in.

Sam Cannon - Hair Apprentice

“I’ve wanted to be a hairdresser since I was a young girl and I’ve already completed my NVQ Level 2 whilst working at a salon in Stondon. I really enjoy cutting and also styling hair-ups for special events and weddings and I’m really looking forward to developing these skills further during my time at Brooks.”

Yvette Bramwell - Hair Apprentice

“I’ve already completed my NVQ Level 2 at Bedford College and have been working as an assistant for two years. I love cutting hair and can’t wait to advance my skills further during the next year. Eventually I’d like to open my own salon or work in fashion doing show hair.”

Sam Hudson - Hair Apprentice

“I’ve worked at BROOKS before during the holidays whilst I was completing my NVQ Level 2 in hairdressing. Cutting client’s hair is the best thing about being a hairdresser and hopefully everything I learn at Level 3 will help me to develop even more techniques and styles.”

Rosie Sturgess - Beauty Apprentice

“I worked at a hair salon in Rushden while gaining my NVQ Level 2 Combined Hair and Beauty qualifications. I’ve had experience in both the hair and beauty side and realised that I enjoy beauty treatments the best, so I’m looking forward to specialising in this area at Brooks.”

Kelly Sullivan Beauty Apprentice

“My ultimate aim is to work on cruise ship and then set up my own salon one day. I’ve already completed my NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy at Bedford College and this Apprenticeship will develop my skills further. My favourite treatments are lash and brow treatments, facials and waxing and I can’t wait to learn new techniques in tanning and electrolysis.”

Annabelle Staplehurst - Beauty Apprentice

“I’ve already completed the Level 2 Combined Hair and Beauty course at Brooks, which helped me to realise that I prefer the more relaxing environment of the beauty salon, so I’m now specialising in that area. My favourite treatments are manicures, pedicures and facials but I can’t wait to learn new techniques in tanning and body massage.”
